Evalengicals storming during troubled times in Nepal

TIME magazine has published list of 12 charities where one can donate money. The list is provided here and here

  • Save The children
  • Red Cross
  • Oxfam
  • Facebook
  • Global Giving
  • Goonj
  • Friends Service council Nepal
  • Lutheran world relief
  • Americares
  • Islamic Relief USA

Reditt posted an appeal and listed out two charities

  • MAP International
  • Direct Relief

Looking at this list, we can clearly see the bias towards White dominated American organization whereas those marked in red are declared christian organizations. Going into the history of these christian faith organizations, we know for sure that evangelicals follows them closely. They are known to exploit natural phenomenons to further the cause of conversions. Nothing else explains their expansion in jungle communities. Even Pontifex declares that Practicing charity is the best way to evangelize and Suffering is a call to conversion: it reminds us of our frailty and vulnerability. This simply means that money given to organizations devoted to religions will be used directly and indirectly for conversion strategy using selective aid and carrot and tick policy.

Indian and Chinese agencies are doing so much work, but no one in the world media is calling to support these efforts. They are all worried about bringing their own white people in the territories not so familiar to Caucasian races. Why not there is a call to support RSS/HSS/Sewa Bharathi/Art of living etc rather than to Islamic and christian organization who are foolishly sending beef and other meat items to the largely vegetarian Hindu country? Why there is so much blindness towards the actual people who can be leveraged to help better since neighbors know better than people 1000 kms away.

It seems to be the play to catch conversion windows at the vulnerable time and thus end up vitiating the healing process.
