MNC retailers pricing policy

Its really greedy to say the least.
Look at McD, Pizza Hut, Levis, Nike etc. Most of their products are always in premium pricing range. Why so? They spend zilch on product development in India, most of the time products are outdated or skeleton of US products. Why so high prices then? Taxes are one reason, but that alone does not justify it. I think it has to do with higher staff cost, hyper advertising & over commitment by Indian managers. Indian managers same performance as mature US organization in their eagerness to increase bonuses. To deliver the same when scale is good, prices are kept high. Only when things expand or other cheaper Indian player threatens, prices are reduced marginally. Even then, advertising or higher salary is not reduced nor does stupid royalty payment to US organization. Quality of the product start suffering.
